Other sources of help

The Library Service runs frequent creative writing courses often inviting well known authors to give talks at libraries. Keep an eye on our what's on page for details.

A couple of our libraries have writers groups that meet regularly.

Other organisations that run creative writing courses are Devon County Council; Worker's Educational Association; City College and Swarthmore on Mutley Plain. There is normally a charge for attending courses offered by these organisations but for some who come under certain categories the course will be offered free. You will also find several writers' groups situated in and around the Plymouth area; a small weekly attendance fee is usually required when becoming a member.

Good luck
