Devonport housing regeneration
The Council’s Housing Regeneration Service is working closely with partners to deliver big changes to housing in Devonport.
There are three key areas of change:
- Demolition and redevelopment of 448 council flats and maisonettes in Devonport, including rehousing the existing residents. This is a programme that extends until 2015 and aims to help change the area's housing profile by providing both more houses and 60 per cent of the new units for sale. Please below for the timetable.
- Provision of 92 units of social rented housing and 23 units of shared ownership housing in the Vision development which was formerly part of the Dockyard. This includes 42 units of extra care accommodation for older people.
- Provision of 97 units of new affordable housing in the Mount Wise development.
These changes are being delivered by the Devonport Development Team which brings together the Housing Regeneration Service with Devon and Cornwall Housing Association and Sovereign Housing Association, email devonportdevelopmentteam@plymouth.gov.uk.
