Nuisance
The Environmental Protection Team is responsible for enforcing the statutory nuisance legislation under Part III of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Nuisance can arise from a variety of activities.
An Officer from the The Environmental Protection Team will investigate your complaint and will decide whether a statutory nuisance exists in legal terms.
We may serve an abatement notice requiring abatement of the nuisance or prohibit or restrict its occurrence. If necessary we can require works to be carried out to prevent the nuisance reoccurring.
