Forder Valley Local Nature Reserve

Forder Valley is located in the north east of Plymouth, between the areas of Eggbuckland and Leigham. The site is spilt into two main areas with the B3413 Forder Valley road running through the site. Forder Valley covers 28ha and is owned by Plymouth City Council and managed by Parks Services. The site provides significant landscape and biodiversity value to the area, containing a number of habitats including broad-leaved woodland, semi-improved grassland, scattered scrub, still water and marshland.

There is a network of footpaths and rides across the site. Forder Valley is easily accessible by public transport with bus stops at Delamere Road, Barnstaple Close, Bampton Road and Shallowford Road, all in close walking distance from the reserve.
