Employment land in the development pipeline
There was only a marginal change to the amount of employment land under construction in 2010/2011. A combination of less land coming forward through the planning application process and consents lapsing (due to work not starting within three years of the permission), resulted in the decrease in the amount of available land where permission has been given, but construction work has not yet started.
The City Centre and University Area Action Plan has allocated 100,000m² of office space between the railway station and Armada Way, and mixed use opportunities in the Northern Triangle. The Derriford and Seaton Area Action Plan propose significant employment land and also residential-led mixed used developments.
This page of the annual monitoring report was updated December 2011.
