Birth and childcare
Registering a birth
The registration of a birth must, by law, take place within 42 days of the date of birth. A typical registration takes about 20 minutes. There is no fee to register or re-register a birth.

Certificate services
Download a copy of a birth, death or marriage certificate application; correct a mistake on an existing certificate, view fees and re-registering information.
Naming ceremony
This ceremony is an opportunity to welcome a child/children into a family and community. View celebratory services venues.
Still-births
Any still birth that occurs within the Plymouth City boundary is registered at the Plymouth Register Office.
