UK Youth Parliament

The UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) enables young people to use their energy and passion to change the world for the better. Run by young people for young people, UKYP provides opportunities for 11 to 18 year olds to use their voice in creative ways to bring about social change.

The Core

The Core are a group of young people aged between 13 and 18 who are interested in Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery and work with members of staff at the Museum to devise or get involved in a number of different projects.

Wild About Plymouth

Wild About Plymouth is a family-friendly natural history group that is open to anyone in the Plymouth area. It is led by enthusiastic experts from Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery, Plymouth City Council’s Nature Conservation Team and the University of Plymouth, plus other selected partners.

Holiday workshops

The holiday workshops are held in the Museum's galleries and at other locations around Plymouth on selected dates throughout the school holidays and half-term breaks. Children and adults can join in with a variety of hands-on making activities and get the latest low-down on the Museum collections and exhibitions.

Plymouth Youth Music Service

Plymouth Youth Music Service provides a comprehensive music education service to Plymouth schools and colleges. It aims to give schools high quality support. It works with them to challenge, motivate and raise expectations for learners and support improved standards of music-making both in and out of school.

Library services

The library has books to borrow, DVDs and CDs for hire, free internet access, homework help and more. You don't have to be a member to use libraries. Anyone can come in and read books and magazines, use our information sources and access the internet.

The children's cyberLibrary contains links to great websites that will help you with homework, offer you help and advice and enable you to find out more about your favourite books and authors.

Teen cyberLibrary

The teen cyberLibrary contains links to great websites that will offer you advice about life after school and enable you to find out more about your favourite books and authors.

Sports facilities

Plymouth's sports facilities and clubs, many who regularly develop competitors of national and international standard.

StreetGames

StreetGames is a national charity, established in 2006 to promote sport for young people living in the most disadvantaged communities. They have tried and tested ways of engaging young people who are currently outside sport.
