Cemeteries and crematoria

Cemetery and crematoria guidelines
When visiting one of the Plymouth City Council cemeteries or crematoria please take care to observe the following guidelines:
- Vehicles must not exceed 10 mph in the cemetery grounds and must remain on the driveways at all times. Please take care when parking and ensure that you do not obstruct any pathways or driveways.
- Smoking is not allowed in any building within the cemeteries and crematoria.
- All litter and unwanted tributes must be placed in the bins provided.
- No dogs are allowed except for assistance dogs.
- As some of the memorials are old and in need of repair please ensure children respect them by not walking or climbing on the memorials. Please also check the guidelines for memorial safety.
- Respect other visitors to the cemetery and keep noise to a minimum.
- Advertisements, placards, flags or banners are not allowed.
- Anyone entering and remaining in a cemetery or crematorium must comply with these guidelines and any reasonable request by the cemetery staff. The staff have the right to remove any misbehaving member of the public from the grounds.
