Through the work we do we have a mission to deliver the transformation of Plymouth as an exceptional city of quality and choice through into a modern, innovative and customer focussed planning services.

We cover a wide range of work so here you will find information about planning applications, planning permission, planning committee and local land charges as well as information about plans and policies to help guide our ambitious plans for growth over the next 20 years.

Planning Services delivers a very wide range of both statutory and non-statutory services. Our main areas of business are described in what we call core functions.

Finding the information you need

Planning consents - here you will find information relating to the development of sites, making a pre-application enquiry, planning applications and how to obtain planning permission, details on enforcement and how to make an appeal on a planning decision as well as information on planning obligations, trees and hedges.

Planning policy - here you will find information relating to the Local Development Framework, urban design and conservation, supplementary planning guidance and other planning policy documents as well as information relating to national and regional planning policy.
