News and what's on

Family Learning Festival

Try something new at your library this month. Our Family Learning Festival page has all the details.

Free tickets to see “The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas”

We have seven pairs of tickets for the 2.30pm screening on Friday 31 October at Plymouth Arts Centre.

To win a pair, tell us the name of a children's or young people's writer from Europe (not the UK) and the title of one of their books. Pick up an entry form in your local library or email your answer to library@plymouth.gov.uk along with your contact details.

Entrants must be between the ages of 14 and 18 and will need parental consent to attend the screening.

Everyone who enters will go into a draw to receive one of six copies of the original novel by John Boyne.

Closing date is Tuesday 21 October. Winners will be notified by Friday 24 October.

This competition is sponsored by Europe Direct Plymouth for the National Year of Reading.
