What happens if I think I'm eligible but can't provide proof?
If you are unable to obtain acceptable proof you should, in the first instance contact the Public Transport Team for assistance on 01752 668000 or email publictransport@plymouth.gov.uk.
If you are unable to obtain acceptable proof and cannot resolve proof of eligibility with the Public Transport Team you should in the first instance contact an appropriate medical practitioner in order to obtain proof of disability. If such proof cannot be obtained you can enter into the City Council's arbitration process whereby you will be assessed by an appointed medical practitioner, the cost of which will be met by yourself and not the Council.
Are carers entitled to concessionary fares?
No. At present carers are not included in the legal minimum set by the Government and we have not extended our scheme to include carers.
Your concessionary bus pass is free. If your pass is lost or stolen and we need to replace it, it will cost £10.
Do I need to bring a photo when I come to get my pass?
No. When you come to get your pass we will take a digital photo of you.
