Waste Development Plan
A planning application for the construction of an Energy from Waste plant at the North Yard of HM Naval Base Devonport has now been received by Plymouth City Council's planners. View the full details of the planning application.
The Waste Development Plan sets out the policy context for considering waste management and disposal facilities in Plymouth.
Its purpose is to ensure that there are effective and adequate policies and proposals to manage waste arisings in the city and to meet waste management targets, particularly for recycling/composting and for landfill reduction.
Where we are
The Waste Development Plan Document was adopted by the Council on 21 April 2008, following receipt of the Inspectors report into the Public Examination.
