Voluntary and Community Sector

The partnership supports the voluntary and community sector through service level agreements with Plymouth Guild to run the Plymouth Third Sector Consortium and the Volunteer Centre. As well as working on various projects with 2020 Partners the Consortium and Volunteer Centre will provide the following services to the sector.

The Plymouth Third Sector Consortium provides:

• a business and funding support service for voluntary and community organisations
• development and support of a number of networks including the Social Enterprise Network, Community Anchors Network and Pan Equalities Network
• community and voluntary representatives for the Plymouth 2020 Board and Theme Groups
• support, advice, information and training to voluntary and community organisations in the city

The Volunteer Centre provides:

• a volunteer brokerage service to accredited standards
• specialist volunteer development support to front line voluntary organisations
• support for the Volunteer Coordinator's Network
• development of new volunteering opportunities in Plymouth
• training for volunteers and organisations
