Consultation undertaken

The consultation that took place for the development of LTP3 was guided by the Stakeholder and Community Management Plan.

Various consultation methods were used to ensure involvement from a wide range of people.

Questions were placed throughout the draft LTP to guide responses to some of the key issues and challenges. This did not prevent general responses being given. People could respond either online through the consultation portal, in writing or by email.

A short online questionnaire was available, again with a focus on some of the key areas of the draft document. This could be completed online or by hard copy which were made available through targeted community events and meetings.

A number of community consultation events were held where Council officers were available to discuss the draft LTP and answer questions. These took place at the following venues:

  • West Park Library
  • Welcome Hall, Devonport
  • St Budeaux Library
  • Tor Bridge Library, Estover
  • Plymstock Library
  • Efford Library
  • Plympton Library
  • City Centre
  • University of Plymouth - Roland Levinsky Building

To support the consultation process a LTP3 summary document, available below, was produced to sit alongside the draft LTP3 and Implementation Plan. This was made widely available and was also developed along with other consultation materials to support unstaffed exhibitions, which were placed at libraries across Plymouth, First Stop at the Civic Centre, the George Junction park and ride and Derriford Hospital.
