Museum in Transit - community

Museum in Transit (MIT) in the community can deliver constantly changing displays to reflect the current exhibitions programme at the museum. The MIT display can be set up in your venue (library, GP surgery, day centre, care home etc) for up to a week. The units are secure and insured to be used in public places.

A community MIT unit is accompanied by tailored programme run by the Learning Team. This can be a combination of any of the following activities that you feel would be most appropriate for your venue:

• Adult learning sessions - colleges, parent groups, community learning centres
• Sessions for groups with Special Educational Needs
• Reminiscence sessions
• Family workshops
• Under 5's storytelling activities

The Learning Team are happy to come out and discuss your specific requirements before booking MIT. Events can take place at a time to suit the needs of your centre.
