Sweatshop workshops
Sweatshop was a participatory project developed by artist Lisa Cheung and realised with artist Wessieling in association with the Human Cargo exhibition.
The project was made possible by members of our Learning Team who worked both in the museum and in the community to run a series of free, interactive workshops.
Attendees helped to create a giant flag installation, which was unveiled at the museum on the closing day of Human Cargo. Throughout the sessions they used recycled children's clothing and their artistic and creative skills to make their own individual flag and interpret the themes from the exhibition.
