What we do
We know that when we work together we can make a real difference. Plymouth Children and Young People's Trust is a formal partnership that brings together everyone in the city who works with children, young people and their families. Our vision is we want all our children to live, grow, achieve and exceed in their hopes for the future.
In particular our five priorities are:
- Equip young people with skills, knowledge and opportunities to make a successful transition to adulthood
- Improve levels of achievement for all children and young people
- Tackle child poverty
- Provide all children with the best possible start to life
- Tackle risk taking behaviours through locality delivered services
The purpose of the Plymouth Children and Young People's Trust is to:
- provide strategic direction for the development of children's services in Plymouth, which will include commissioning and providing services
- provide leadership on the development of integrated services for children
- support the achievement of national and local agency targets by developing closer and linked ways of planning, delivery and improving services for children, young people and their families
- implement the priorities in the children's and young people's plan 2008 to 2011
