Southway Valley Local Nature Reserve
Southway Valley is located in the north of Plymouth south of the residential district of Southway. The site provides a significant contribution to the woodland in the north of Plymouth with some connectivity to nearby Cann Woods Local Nature Reserve and Whitleigh Wood Local Nature Reserve. Southway Valley is owned by Plymouth City Council and managed by Parks Services department. The site contains a number of habitats including, semi-natural broad-leaved woodland, mixed scrub, hedgerows, semi-improved grassland and running water.
There is a network of footpaths and rides across the site. The site is easily accessible by public transport with bus stops at Southway Drive to the north of the reserve and Upland Drive to the south of the reserve.
