Forder Valley
Forder Valley is a Local Nature Reserve in the northeast of Plymouth, next to the communities of Leigham and Estover. It's a good sized green space for walking and playing in - with woodland, grassland, bracken, a stream and pond and even an old tramway which is now a wide, tree lined path through the site.
Local people have told us that they don't use the reserve as much as they could and that they would like to have improved entrances and paths, signage and activities such as pond dipping and play.
Over the next six months, the Stepping Stones Team will be working with local service providers, young people, Leigham Primary School, Estover Community College and residents to carry out these improvements and get people out enjoying the nature reserve on their doorstep! See our events page for information on events happening in Forder Valley.
