Council structure

We have three directorates focused on People, Place and Corporate Services.

The new directorates include four departments, each headed by an assistant director.

These are:

The People Directorate:

• Children’s Social Care Department
• Joint Commissioning and Adult Social Care Department
• Education, Learning and Family Support Department
• Homes and Communities Department

The Place Directorate:

• Economic Development Department
• Transport and Infrastructure Department
• Planning Department
• Environmental Services Department

The Corporate Services Directorate:

• Finance, Technology, Assets and Efficiencies Department
• Democracy and Governance Department
• Customer Services Department
• Human Resources and Organisational Development Department

There is also a small Executive Office under the Chief Executive. This comprises:

• Policy, Performance and Partnerships
• Corporate Communications

The Corporate Management Team comprises:
