Theatre and drama

The Central Library has a wide range of books on theatre and drama. Most can be found on the library catalogue.

We also have encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories and magazines.

If you can't find something, let us know. We have access to national databases and catalogues and can usually track something down.

Our requests service has all the information.

Playsets

Local drama groups and societies in Plymouth, Torbay and Devon can borrow playsets, including full-length plays, one-act plays, sketches and monologues. Loan periods cover rehearsal and performance.

Charges are based on the loan period:

• First nine weeks: no charge
• Thereafter, per four week period: £1.70
