Plymouth Safeguarding Adults Board
Every council has to set up a Safeguarding Adults Board to help protect adults with care and support needs from abuse or neglect. The board includes representatives from:
- the council
- the police
- health services
- independent care providers
What the board does
The Plymouth Safeguarding Adults Board coordinates the work of everyone on the board to protect adults with care and support needs in Plymouth. It focuses on adults who may be in need of support or services to keep their independence and well-being, supporting them to live their lives free from abuse and neglect, or fear of abuse or neglect.
