Why are school meals important?
To learn successfully children and young people need to be able to concentrate, and to concentrate you need to eat well.
Our school lunches are healthy, well balanced and nutritious so are an important part of the day.
Are school meals freshly prepared?
Yes! All our meals are freshly prepared using fantastic local and seasonal produce and much of it is organic from regional suppliers.
We treat those ingredients with absolute respect to ensure we make delicious and nutritious meals for young people.
How do school meals help to provide a balanced diet?
School meals are nutritionally balanced over the course of a menu cycle and provide up to three of your child's five-a-day portions of fruit and vegetables.
The meals comply with the government's mandatory regulations but also take into consideration what children want.
What sort of meals are provided?
There is a daily selection of freshly cooked meals, salads and desserts, fresh fruit or yoghurt.
Our menus are seasonal so we change the vegetables, salads and fruit options to match their availability.

Are vegetarian meals available?
Yes! A vegetarian option is offered every day.
Are meals available for special diets?
Yes, we can accommodate many special diets.
We would encourage you to let your school know your child has a special dietary need and we will arrange for you to meet with our Kitchen Manager at school or a member of the team to discuss how we can best meet your child's needs.
Do your menus meet recommended guidelines?
All of our menus are analysed to make sure they meet the current school food standards which detail the food and drinks children should be offered at school, and what nutrients they should receive from their school lunch.
