The Big Build Up

Plymouth's city centre is gearing up for Mayflower in 2020 with a series of incredible projects that will ensure the city looks its best in time for this landmark year.

A number of big projects which are worth in total £175 million will get into full swing shortly which will transform parts of the city centre in time for this momentous occasion.

We are working with all the developers and their contractors to make sure that people who live, work and enjoy our city centre are not inconvenienced while these schemes take place.

The vast majority of work will be carried without affecting you in any way, but there will be some temporary changes to roads and paths in and around the city centre to enable these fantastic developments to happen.

We have set up an operations team with representatives from the Council, the City Centre Company and Plymouth Waterfront Partnership to tackle any issues that arise and to keep the city moving.

We aim to provide advance warning of any changes to our roads and city centre in plenty of time.
