How is garden waste collected?

For us to collect your garden waste make sure:

  • the bin has the season sticker on it and your property number is clear for our crews to see
  • you know when your collection day is and put the bin out by 6.30am on the day of collection
  • you have put the right things in the bin as contaminated garden waste won't be collected
  • the bin can be moved. Spread garden waste over multiple collections or take excess waste to the recycling centre if all your waste made the bin too heavy
  • the bin is presented by the kerbside to allow our crews to collect it

Help to put out your bins

If you can't put your bins out due to a disability, and there's no-one in your home to help, you might be able to get an assisted collection.
