Help us celebrate British Science Week!

Join us at Plympton Library for our Science Fair! There will be lots of fun science based activities on all day including:

  • and much more!!

The event will be supported by local STEM Ambassadors, Babcock, Positive People and other local organisations.

Basics and beyond computing is a monthly IT themed session where a different topic is covered each month.

Its Spam Awareness month so in this month's session learn about electronic junk mail known as spam.

DOLL-E storytime and robot making: Central Library

Join us this holiday for a storytime and making session with a difference!

We will be using a Makey Makey, Scratch online and scrap to make talking robots!

Retro computer gaming with "South West Retro Computer Archive" , board games with "In Game UK" and "Plymouth Game On", VR with local gaming company "Feisty Crab" and more on offer all day! 


#GirlCode: Plymstock Library

#GIRLCODE is a free coding class for girls aged 8-14 who want to learn to code in a fun and friendly environment.

Run by tech industry professionals (Women in STEM Plymouth), the easy and interactive session will provide hands-on experience of programming using the BBC micro:bit.

All equipment will be provided, and no prior experience is needed.

#GIRLCODE aims to encourage girls in the Plymouth area to consider careers in technology and software development.

Cake & Code - Coding for adults: Crownhill Library

Coding isnt just for kids! Come along to our "Cake and Code" session and learn about the basic concepts of coding!

During this introduction to coding session you will find out what coding is, be guided through a coding activity, code a microbit to tell the temperature, and of course eat some cake!

Aimed at adults - no previous coding experience required!

Tech Jam: Plymstock Library

It's EU Coding Week and we have a day of coding/digital making activities available for all ages!


Kit available to use on the day includes  Raspberry Pis,  Microbits, Sphero and more! Or why not bring your own and share what you have been working on?

Stay for an hour or the whole day!


Other activities on the day include Very Hungry Code-a-pillar at 10.30am and Family Microbit session at 2pm.


Beginners and experts of any age are welcome.
