How we help develop affordable housing
We work in partnership with Plymouth Housing Development Partnership (PHDP) to deliver, develop and promote new affordable housing.
The partnership is made up of the Homes and Communities Agency and the following affordable housing providers:
- Aster Homes
- Bournemouth Churches Housing Association
- Clarion Housing Group
- Guinness Hermitage
- Plymouth Community Homes
- Sanctuary Housing
- Sovereign Housing Association
- Tamar Housing
- Westward Housing
If you're considering developing a housing site or innovative affordable housing product within the city, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01752 304146 before submitting a planning application to discuss the affordable housing development requirements.
Affordable housing loan
We recognise that a lack of public funding is one of the main obstacles preventing new homes from being built so we have created an affordable housing loan facility of up to £50 million to help partner housing providers to do more in the city.
If you're a registered provider within the Plymouth Housing Development Partnership, Cooperative Housing Groups or Community Land Trusts you can apply for an affordable housing development loan. Visit our affordable housing loan facility page for more information.
