Skills Launchpad Plymouth including a new Youth Hub
Working in city-wide partnership, Plymouth City Council has set up ‘Skills Launchpad Plymouth’ as an online free one-stop-shop skills service which aims to help local people stay informed to equip themselves with the skills and confidence that they will need to play a part in the city’s future, targeting support for young people through the Youth Hub and supporting those who are facing redundancy through the Adult Hub. The intention is to help local people to build the skills that local employers need both today and in the future to fill the jobs. Find out more by visiting the Skills Launchpad website.
Support with school uniforms
Most schools require pupils to wear a school uniform, with the exception of the Sixth Form. Individual school websites set out the policy on school uniform. The local authority no longer offers crisis payments for assistance in purchasing a school uniform. Parents/carers should contact the school, which may be able to assist with the cost of purchasing items of uniform. .
