Microbit family session at Plymstock Library

Date
-

The Microbit is a tiny programmable computer. It has loads of features including 25 red LED lights that can flash messages and two programmable buttons . It also has a motion sensor, a temperature gauge, compass and Bluetooth antenna. You can make music, games and even code your own Hogwarts Sorting Hat – the possibilities are endless!

At this session parents/guardians will learn with their child how to code a Microbit. We will be making a temperature gauge, a sunlight sensor and a motion sensor.
After the session you can borrow a Microbit pack from the library for 3 weeks just like a library book!

This session is aimed at children aged 7-11yrs accompanied by a parent/guardian and who are members of Plymouth Libraries. Bring your own laptop or use one of our computers. No previous coding experience required.

Places are limited to 8 families (e.g 1 adult and 1 child). 1 ticket per family.

Important: please let us know/cancel your ticket if you are unable to attend so that we can release your ticket to those on the waiting list.
