Three more litter offenders had their cases put before Plymouth Magistrates Court on Monday.

The court first heard the case of a woman from Keyham who in October last year left a collection of black bags in the service lane behind her property.

The bags containing mixed domestic waste was noticed by an enforcement officer over a week away from the next brown collection day.

The woman was given an fixed penalty notice for littering which remain unpaid.

Meanwhile, the other two offenders were all witnessed actively dropping litter on the city's streets by environmental enforcement officers.

They were also each handed an FPN but despite several reminders, failed to pay and were summoned to court.

None of the three offenders attended court and so were found guilty in their absence, with each ordered to pay fines of £220, costs of £200 and a victim surcharge of £34.

The initial FPNs were for £100.
