Latest COVID-19 testing site locations

We are continuing to take our mobile testing site on a mini road trip to hand out free COVID-19 testing kits.

The team will be visiting busy parts of the city once again to make it as easy as possible to pick up a kit and to get tested.

Please see below a full list of sites available along with corresponding dates - operational between 10am and 4pm.

  • Sunday 20 June: Barbican Leisure Centre (Walk-In appointments only)
  • Monday 21 June: Torridge Way
  • Tuesday 22 June: Crownhill Village Car Park, Alexandra Road
  • Thursday 24 June: West Park Car Park, Crownhill Road
  • Friday 25 June: Mudge Way North Car Park
  • Sunday 27 June: Barbican Leisure Car Park

Our network of libraries are also available for picking up home testing kits, but tests themselves will not take place at these locations.

Ruth Harrell, Director of Public Health for Plymouth City Council, said: “Testing plays a key role in detecting cases of COVID-19 where there are no symptoms and will help us all to keep the infection rate as low as possible.

“Remember that you can have Covid and spread it to others while having few symptoms yourself. This makes it really important that everyone takes advantage of the free lateral flow tests that are available and takes a test twice a week to make sure they are not carrying and spreading the virus.”

The mobile locations are in addition to the site at the Place de Brest in the city centre, which is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, offering assisted testing and handing out home testing kits. Each box contains seven individual tests and should last one person three and a half weeks, when testing twice a week.

All of the city’s pharmacies also stock the testing kits and you can also order them online.  You can also order a box of tests online or through 119, which will be delivered to your home.

Please see our testing webpage for more information.
