Visitors and second home owners urged to keep away this Easter

Please do not visit Plymouth or the wider South West region this Easter.

That’s message city tourism leaders are putting out to help ensure people follow the Government advice - stay home, save lives and protect the NHS.

You should not travel to a second home or holiday accommodation to self-isolate, or visit friends and family.

Council leader Tudor Evans said: “We are incredibly proud of our beautiful, vibrant city and stunning coastline and we are usually the first to shout about it.

“But for now, we’re asking you to please stay in your main residence for the safety of everyone around you.

“When it is safe to do so, we’ll be delighted to welcome you back to Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City with open arms.”
