Caring for Plymouth

Caring for Plymouth is set to stand down from Thursday 1 April as shielding across the UK comes to an end.

Help will be at hand again to support some of Plymouth's most vulnerable residents throughout the third national lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Council will be helping some of Plymouth's most vulnerable residents through the November coronavirus lockdown.

Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

That is our message to all of the partners and staff who came together to support and care for our most vulnerable adults during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Council has taken delivery of 34,000 face masks from the Devon and Cornwall Chinese Association (DCCA).

The masks have been gifted to the Council, completely free of charge, so that they can be distributed to local organisations, voluntary groups and charities on the front line of the Coronavirus pandemic who may not have the funds for such a quantity of PPE.

The Caring for Plymouth Support Hub – the operation to shield Plymouth’s most vulnerable residents from the coronavirus – is up and running.
