Overnight closures near Leigham Roundabout on Thursday

Map showing diversion routes during closure on Delamere Road and slip road

There will be closures on Delamere Road and the slip road from Leigham Roundabout towards Marsh Mills on Thursday night, while Balfour Beatty carry out some ‘snagging works’ on the Forder Valley Interchange scheme.

The works, to remove some old white lining on Delamere Road and put some new lining down on the slip road, will take place from 7pm on Thursday to 6am on Friday, weather allowing.

Delamere Road will be closed first, for a short stretch at the Leigham Roundabout end, in both directions. Drivers will be diverted via Forder Valley Road, Church Hill and Eggbuckland Road.

Once these works are completed, Delamere Road will be re-opened and the slip road from Leigham Roundabout towards Marsh Mills will be closed (up to the point where it is joined by the A38 eastbound). Drivers will be diverted via the A38 westbound, to route around Manadon Roundabout and back onto the A38 eastbound.

While the slip road is closed, there will be some lane closures on the Forder Valley Road and Longbridge Road approaches to the roundabout and the roundabout itself but they will remain open for access to all other routes.

The Plymouth Citybus service 50 will operate as normal through Leigham and then follow the A38 diversion from Leigham Roundabout to Manadon Roundabout and back to Marsh Mills.
