Funding
The Council received £2.1m of funding from the Department for Transport (DfT) and this has been supplemented by developer contributions.
Public Consultation
Public consultation on the proposals for Plymouth Road were carried out from the 19th May to the 16th June 2017 with comments received helping to develop the preferred scheme. Further public consultation on the preferred scheme was then carried out from the 13th November to the 24th November 2017. The reports on each of the consultations can be viewed here:
When will the works start?
Work to create a mini roundabout at the junction of Cot Hill and Merafield Road was completed in April 2019. Works on the rest of Plymouth Road will begin later in the year with specific details for each junction being issued closer to when they're due to start.
