The scheme will widen Tavistock Road to create a dual carriageway along this busy stretch and provide new cycle paths, wider footways and safer crossing points to support active travel, as set out in the Council’s Climate Emergency Action Plan.
More spaces will be created at the George Park and Ride site (including more electric vehicle charging bays), helping to promote bus use to and from the north of Plymouth.
Woolwell Roundabout will also be replaced with a signalised junction and a new signalised junction will be created at Woolwell Crescent to allow traffic from Woolwell to turn right onto Tavistock Road and travel north.
Plans for Phase 1, 2 and 3 will be added when they are available.
