Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information about sport and leisure facilities and parks

Updated: 8 April 2021

Parks and play areas

All our parks and play parks remain open.

If you visit a play area please use hand sanitiser before and after and think about how you long you stay, to give everyone a chance to use it safely. Please don't use play areas if you or your child aren’t feeling very well.

In Central Park, the skate park will remain open and the Meadow Café will serve takeaways only.

Further updates will appear here and on our Nature Plymouth Facebook page.

Sport and leisure facilities

Tennis courts and multi-use games areas are open across the city. Please use these facilities in line with Government guidance.

The Brickfields athletics track and all-weather pitch are open and its indoor facilities will reopen on Monday 12 April. Plympton Swimming Pool will also reopen on Monday 12 April.

Major works at the Plymouth Life Centre are nearing completion and most 'dry' facilities will be available from midday on Monday 12 April. The 50-metre pool and leisure pool will reopen at the end of April and work on the diving pool is expected to be complete by early June. See our news story for more details.

Outdoor pools (Tinside Lido and Mount Wise Swimming Pools) will open earlier this year, on 1 May.
