Since forming in 2007, St Levan NHW has worked closely with us and the members have been instrumental in improvements carried out to the park.  They’ve organised bulb and tree planting events for local schoolchildren and residents, tree pruning classes at the orchard and social events.  They put on an annual fun day featuring live entertainment, inflatables, stalls and a dog show where people come citywide to enjoy the activities and the park.

St Levan Park NHW members are always looking for residents to join them or for volunteers to help as they continue their mission to keep the park special and the surrounding areas safe for everyone.  To find out more about what they do, go to one of their events, check out their Facebook page 'St Levan Community Group' or Email them. For more information about them and all the other friends groups in the city, check it all out on the Friends of Parks Groups webpages.

St Levans Park

St Levan Park lies at the bottom of St Levan Valley with Blockhouse Park visible on the steep hill to the south.  Westwards, the railway viaduct crosses the valley and Devonport Dockyard lies beyond.

The park supports an abundance of wildlife thanks to well established trees complimented by the orchard (apple and pear) plus ornamental trees and spring bulbs.  Bats can be seen at dusk.

A stunning mural greets visitors.  The community notice board, procured and maintained by the local friends group, contains ways to contact them, a lot of useful information and details of local activities.
