Plymouth has a large variety of playgrounds across the city for all and abilities and inclusive play.
Play Area Improvments
Play parks across Plymouth have been having updates and overhauls thanks to a 2 year programme of Outdoor Play Improvements led by Plymouth city council.
In areas across the city we have been working hard to improve our play offer for all ages with new equipment, updated surfacing and fencing and exciting new opportunities for inclusive play.
We have added a wooden play boat in West Hoe, made improvements in Devonport Park and are currently starting work on the play area in Strand Street, Stonehouse, next to the Cremyll Ferry - why not pop in next time you go to Mount Edgecombe?
Other sites to have had a make-over include, Bladder Meadow in Crownhill, Honicknowle Green, Dovedale Road in Budshead, Knowle Battery in North Park and Radford Avenue in Cattedown.
But we haven't finished yet! Watch out for more improvements to sites in Plympton, Plymstock and Lipson this autumn.
Most of these improvements happen due to partnership working with some fantastic community groups and without their support, commitment and enthusiasm, this project just wouldn't happen.
