Join us this summer to celebrate parks and greenspace across the city

Parsk, green and blue space have been a life line for us all during this last few months of uncertainty and lock down. These spaces have provided us with a place for exercise, to spend time with loved ones, for contemplation, reflection and relaxation. Join us in celebrating and caring for these spaces.

This is a chance for you to explore and engage with Plymouth parks both virtually and physically with your family and friends (social distancing of course!)
Plymouth Love Parks is launching on 24 July and below is all the information you need to find out what is going on and how to engage.

Make sure you follow our social media channels to be up to date with everything that happens with parks and greenspace in the city as well as finding out how you can get invovled.

The following is some of the things we will be doing.

During the Love Plymouth Parks summer campaign we will be sharing lots of ways you can engage with Plymouth parks and open space, enjoying what they have to offer and pledging your support, inducing:

  • Videos shared to our website and social media channels for you to view at your leisure
  • Find our more about Plymouth's green spaces
  • We will also be holding an online webinar for our Friends Groups to support the return of volunteering in their local park safely after lock down.
  • Read the latest Greenspace Newsletter to find out about all the work that have been happening across the city.

July Edition of the Love Plymouth Parks Newsletter

We work with muliple partners across the city to support the work we do in parks and greenspace. Here are just a few of the partners we work with and we will be sharing more about their work in our parks and greenspaces over the summer.

Have you ever wondered how close you are to a park or greenspace from the area that you live?

Working with Plymotion, we have mapped safe walking rotues within neighbourhoods to your local parks and greenspaces

Visit the webpage.

People and the local community are hugely important in the caring for and maintaining of parks and greenspaces across the city.

We will be celebrating the good work of Friends of Groups and Community Groups and supporting their safe return to volunteering this summer.

If you want to give back to your local park, visit the Volunteering Pages for more information and how you can get involved.
