Plymouth Environmental Action (PEA)

We work with Plymouth Environmental Action (PEA), a practical conservation volunteering organisation, to involve and inspire people to conserve the natural environment within their local community whilst having fun and making new friends. Plymouth Environmental Action (PEA) are based in Plymouth and operate throughout the Devon, Cornwall and surrounding South West England area. Their work is funded by volunteer organisation funding schemes, land management work carried out by the team and the supporters of their March 2016 Crowdfund campaign.

The team is led by dedicated leaders who have a great amount of nature conservation knowledge and experience. They carry out a variety of conservation and heritage-based projects including:

  • Dry-stone walling
  • Meadow management
  • Wildlife pond creation
  • Hedge-laying
  • Tree planting
  • Coppicing
  • Biological surveying
  • Beach cleans
  • Invasive plant species management

Free minibus transport is provided from the city centre for our volunteering sessions and events as well as plenty of tea and biscuits! Waterproofs and wellington boots can also be provided!

You can find out more, including events, on the Plymouth Environmental Action (PEA) website, Facebook or Twitter.
