The Marine Building opened in 2012 after a 2 year construction phase on site. The building has a facility that is used to create waves more than one metre high to study and develop renewable energy solutions and help the world adapt to climate change. It also a state of the art simulator for marine traffic training.

Plymouth Building Control worked on this project with the client, architect and the main contractor from early stages of design to successful completion. The building won the prestigious LABC award for ‘best education building’.
