If you're having construction work done on your own home or on the home of a family member, as a domestic client, you may have to notify the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and you'll have health and safety responsibilities under The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM).
If you're a landlord or developer you may also have to notify the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) if you're having construction work done as part of a trade or business .
