This is a quick guide to using the Public Access System where you can comment on planning applications.
Once you arrive at the page you will see the welcome page and the option to register near the top of the screen.
Complete the details as required and you are ready to look up planning applications, current and historic and comment on applications that are currently valid.
Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation email, just click on the link and your account will be confirmed. You now have full access to the Planning Application Database.
Important note regarding Passwords: It is important that you use a unique password that you do not use anywhere else and is only used for this system. If you need any help please contact us.
Once you have access you can search by address, postcode, and keywords, the system will look for any word you put into it.
You can also use the advanced search, look at our weekly lists, search by property or use the interactive map.
If you want to use the Map function, just click on the link and the city map will appear. You can zoom into any street in the city. If any planning applications are listed they will have a red outline on them. Click inside the outline and the application number and details will appear. If you want more details click on the Application details.
The Public Access system does so much more. You can track and follow planning applications and be notified of their progress. You can comment on current applications and let us know your views.
