Plympton St Mary Polling District Review 2021

Plymouth City Council's aims are to uphold a high standard of compliance with our statutory duty to keep polling districts, polling places and polling stations under review and limit the number of schools, in the city, used as polling stations.

After receiving feedback, following the 2021 combined elections, on the suitability of and access to Boringdon School as a polling station, a review of the polling districts and places in the Plympton St Mary ward is now underway. The review will cover polling districts RB and RC only.

The consultation period will commence from Friday 29 October and will end on Friday 10 December 2021.

Address: Electoral Registration Office, Plymouth City Council, Ballard House, West Hoe Road, Plymouth, PL1 3BJ

It is the Returning Officer's role to select the polling stations. It will be the Full Council which will make the decisions on any proposed changes to the polling districts polling places in January 2022. The final scheme for polling arrangements will be adopted by the Chief Executive, in accordance with the Council's constitution.

Following the conclusion of the review, representations can be made within a period of 6 weeks of the publication date of the finalised scheme. These must be made to the Electoral Commission.
