Communities at Poole Farm

Poole Farm CommunityWe encourage lots of communities within Plymouth to get involved with Poole Farm! We occasionally host weekend events with local volunteer organisations such as Plymouth Environmental Action and University of Plymouth.

Our event highlights include the planting of Plymouth’s largest orchard in 2017 and the Big Climate Fightback event in 2019, where 824 trees were planted by over 100 local people. This event marked over 8600 trees being planted since the project started in 2016, by local volunteers, residents and Plymouth City Council staff. As part of Plymouth’s Plan for Trees, we are also establishing a Community Tree Nursery.

Other Events include the Poole Farm Open Day with over 400 attendees and popular family days such as Pumpkin Carving during school holidays. To give everyone a chance to experience Poole Farm, we attend local community events, host a community forum, as well as provide updates via our social media and newsletters.

We advertise our events on Facebook and family events held during the school holidays are usually ticketed through Eventbrite.
