What we test
We can take water samples for bacteriological testing including analysis for E.coli, coliforms, Aerobic Colony Counts or Legionella.
A laboratory report will be provided along with the certificate.

Request a ship water test
This service is provided Monday to Thursday. (Excluding bank holidays)
Ask about availability by calling 01752 398501 or email port.health@plymouth.gov.uk with a subject line: “Ship Water Test”. If officers are available at the date and time required, the visit can be booked online using the button below.
You will need to pay when you book your ship water test.
