Directory of Services 4 Schools
April 2024 to March 2025
The Directory is a reference source of core and traded services for headteachers and governing bodies of both maintained schools and academies. It provides an outline of the services that Plymouth City Council and other providers offer to support leadership, management and raising attainment in schools.
We hope that the service options available will generally meet your needs. However, if you would like the service provider to consider a variation or addition to the option, you should contact the Service Manager with your requirements who will negotiate a more bespoke option if available.
Service 4 Schools
Unfortunately with this change this means that we will only be able to offer the revised platform to Plymouth City Council (PCC) Maintained Schools, where PCC is the end employer. This will no longer be available to Maintained Trust Schools and Academy Schools, where Governing Bodies are the end employer.
Schools which are not a PCC (end employer) Maintained School and did not TUPE transfer out during the 2023/24 financial year will lose their access to the portal on 22 September 2023.
Schools that do have access to iCHOOSE and then transfer out of Plymouth City Council under TUPE Regulations, will be able to retain the benefit for their employees until the start of the new financial year following their TUPE transfer.
PCC Schools who currently access iCHOOSE will transfer to MyLifestyle and will receive an email to update log-in details. For joining and leaving the scheme the process remains the same.
The Service 4 Schools brochure currently has information regarding iCHOOSE and this will remain the same, however this will be updated to reflect the rebrand in the 2024/25 brochure.
Changes to iCHOOSE
Our Employee Benefits Platform has changed.
Our updated platform was relaunched as ‘MyLifestyle’ on 2 October 2023.
The iCHOOSE portal is now closed.
Our aim is provide employees with the best possible offers to support with the cost of living. The revised platform will look different but our existing benefits will remain and new local offers will be added.
ChildCare Voucher scheme
Our ChildCare Vouchers (CCV) scheme will remain with Edenred. How you leave the scheme and amend amounts will also remain the same through your payroll provider. Employees will continue to receive payments and any standing orders set up will continue. Employees will keep managing payments through the My Childcare Vouchers website.
