Allocations made on the national offer dates 2019

How will I find out about the allocation?

  • Online applicants can sign into their online account after midnight on the allocation date to see what school has been allocated
  • Online applicants who requested notification by email will be sent an email on the allocation date but the emails are sent out in small batches so it may take some time for your email to appear
  • All applicants will receive a letter confirming the allocation which is sent through the post system.

What do I need to do when I receive the allocation?

If your child has been allocated to a Plymouth school, you need to tell us if you are accepting the place. You can do this via your online account or you can print out the reply form under the relevant apply for a school place page, complete it and send it to us. If you do not give a response, the place may be taken away and given to someone else.

What if I am not happy with the allocation made?

The first thing to do is to ring us so we can explain why you may not have been allocated a place at the school you preferred. We can also discuss alternative options with you e.g. which schools may have vacancies and how to make a change of preference. You also have the right to appeal against the refusal of a school place at any school that you ranked higher than the one we allocated. Please make sure that you read all of the appeal documentation available and have a chat with us before you submit an appeal so that you can make an informed decision.
