Plymouth City Council, South Hams District Council and West Devon Borough Council have prepared and are consulting on the draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).
The SCI sets out the minimum requirements for consultation and involvement proposed by the local planning authorities (LPAs) of the Councils when preparing planning documents or consulting on planning applications.
The joint SCI builds on the work of the JLP providing a consistent baseline to support the continued cooperation in planning across the three JLP authorities.
The deadline for comments on the SCI is 5pm on Monday 6 January 2020.
A consultation statement has also been produced and is available for information only. It sets out the JLP authorities approach to engagement on both the draft SCI and the draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) which is also out for consultation and sets out details on data protection:

How to make comments
Please note that the Councils will only accept comments if they are 'duly made' in other words if they are received in a written format with a name and address supplied. Comments made verbally or anonymously will not be accepted.
